What's Cooking?
OneBuddy Cook is about delicious home cooked favourites. Recipes and tips for roast chicken to frittata, macaroni cheese with a cheesy béchamel. Mastering pan fried fish and perfect egg omelettes - our end goal being a entree, main and dessert for 4 family or friends.
As with any new skill it does take practice and best of all there is food to be enjoyed...

Seasonal Produce
OneBuddy Cook will feature seasonal recipes with again a focus on fabulous results that are a treat to the eye and taste buds. With a focus on local produce from the Southern Highlands.

Young OneBuddy Cooks
I am very passionate about YOUNG OneBuddy Cooks and offer a one off 2.5 hour session for 'two cooking buddies' from 7yrs to 12yrs. Cooking in their own home kitchen so they can continue to cook for the family in the days ahead. The food cooked will become their family lunch or dinner - now that's a winner.
Launched in the July school holidays 2023 I cooked & coached with some young cooks and together we prepared a roast chicken with veggies, zucchini cheddar frittata and sweet pikelets.
The best gift you can give a young child is to master and cook at least 10 easy home meals before they leave the family kitchen & nest 🍅
It's always great to talk about your young cooks before booking.
You then purchasing fresh food from a shopping list I will provide with lots of tips.
Teenager classes available too which are more rewarding & productive one on one.
Please call or email for more details - thanks Anna

About Anna
Thanks for popping in to meet me! I'm Anna Phillips, a renowned cooking teacher, food presenter & cookbook author who has called the beautiful Southern Highlands home for the past 8 years. In this biography, we'll explore my journey from an aspiring home cook and foundation teacher at the Sydney Seafood School to a respected authority in culinary education, while also highlighting my deep admiration for older individuals and the compassionate care I provide.

Growing up in a family that encouraged cooking and kitchen time preparing meals as a means of connection, I developed a love for food and flavours. My imaginative culinary experiments in the kitchen fueled my passion for cooking.
I pursued formal culinary training, mastering classical techniques and exploring diverse cuisines. My experiences in different kitchens and cooking schools expanded my culinary horizons and shaped my teaching approach. Recognising my talent for teaching, I began presenting cooking classes and workshops, captivating students with my warm and accessible style. My classes foster a sense of community and fun and are filled with tips for success!
In 2012, I moved to the Southern Highlands to live with my extraordinary 88-year-old mother, Suzanne. While her mind remained sharp, her body showed the wear and tear of being an avid gardener. Caring for her taught me valuable skills that I now bring to OneBuddy, a platform where I offer assistance and support to those women living as ONE.
In 2019, my brother Garth and I created Cafe Annesley in Bowral, a friendly meeting spot where residents and locals could enjoy great coffee and delicious homemade food. Although we closed the cafe in early 2022, the experience allowed us to connect with the community and offer a warm, welcoming space.
Throughout my career, I have positively influenced countless individuals through my culinary teachings and compassionate care. My students credit me fo their new confidence in the kitchen, while my experiences caring for my mum shaped my approach to providing help through OneBuddy.
